Analysis that goes past the score screen

Build order truth

Age-up clicks, population benchmarks and an efficiency delta that shows the seconds you actually lost; computed against a perfectly continuous Dark Age, not a canned build.

Economy under the microscope

Town Center idle time, villager production continuity, exact spend curves per resource reconstructed from every command in the replay.

Map control, measured

Forward buildings, wall geometry, scouting coverage, camera attention analysis; spatial metrics no score screen shows you.

Fights and decisions

Engagement detection, raid response latency, multitasking under pressure, initiative share; who was actually driving the game.

Every number is computed

TownBell reads the full command stream of your replay; every order, queue, research and camera movement. When something can't be computed from the file (replays don't store resource counts or kills), the report says so instead of showing an estimate dressed up as a fact.

Frequently asked questions

Which game versions are supported?
Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition replays, including the current patch. When a game update changes the replay format, we typically restore support within days; the report will tell you if your file is newer than the parser.
Do you support team games?
Yes; every player in the lobby gets a full report. Some head-to-head metrics (like raid response) are only computed for 1v1 games.
Is this free?
Yes. No account, no upload limit beyond fair use, all metrics visible.
Why don't you show kills or resources gathered?
Replay files don't contain them. A replay is a command recording, not a statistics dump; the game re-simulates it when you watch. We only show what can honestly be computed from the commands, timings and map data in the file.

Where do I find my replays?

In-game: Single Player or Multiplayer → Saved & Recorded Games. On disk: C:\Users\<you>\Games\Age of Empires 2 DE\<steam-id>\savegame; files ending in .aoe2record.
