These terms keep expectations clear on both sides. They're short on purpose; TownBell is a free analysis tool, not a financial instrument.
The service
TownBell analyzes uploaded Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition replay files and produces statistical reports. The service is provided free of charge, as-is and as-available, without warranties of any kind. We work hard to keep results accurate, but replays are complex and game patches change the format; we don't guarantee that every file parses or that every metric is free of error.
Acceptable use
Upload only Age of Empires II replay files. Don't attempt to overload, probe, or circumvent the service's rate limits or security measures; automated bulk uploading requires our prior consent. Don't use the service for anything unlawful.
Your content
Replay files you upload remain yours. By uploading, you grant us the technical permission to process the file in order to generate your report and to retain anonymous, aggregate statistics derived from it (as described in the Privacy Policy). We do not retain or redistribute the file itself.
Intellectual property
TownBell is an independent fan project, not affiliated with or endorsed by Microsoft, Xbox Game Studios, or World's Edge. Age of Empires II and related marks are trademarks of the Microsoft group of companies; their use here is purely referential.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TownBell and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid to use the service; which is zero.
Changes
We may update these terms and the service itself; material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
